Lindsay Edwards is principal oboe of Boise Baroque and also holds the English Horn chair in the Boise Philharmonic. In addition she plays in a duo with Boise Philharmonic harpist Matthew Tutsky. She is a founding member of Classical Revolution: Boise. Lindsay has completed international tours to China, Spain, South Africa, Mexico and Holland with The World Orchestra, sharing their mission of bringing a high level of orchestra playing to the world’s greatest concert halls as well as the world’s most underserved communities. This past year with the World Orchestra, she was a chamber music soloist at the Grachten Festival in Amsterdam and also participated in the Pollença Music Festival in Mallorca and Lowlands Festival in Holland. In 2013 she was awarded two grants from the Idaho Arts Commission to support these projects. In March of 2014 she can be heard on a release of Michael Nyman’s 2nd and 5th Symphonies by the World Orchestra. Lindsay holds two degrees in oboe performance from the Thornton School of Music at The University of Southern California. Her primary teachers were David Weiss, Dr. Joel Timm and Dr. Alan Vogel, with addition studies with Julie Anne Giacobassi.
